Working with wool through the winter:
Traditional rug hooking to help keep you warm!


An introduction to traditional rug hooking
Saturday, October 12th
Or Sunday, October 13th
 
Noon to 4 pm
  
You will learn how to draw a pattern, color plan this design and the basics of how to hook a traditional rug. This is a small group class, with plenty of one-on-one help to get you started on a project for the winter months ahead.

Cost for the class: $25
Cost for supplies for the class: $50
Supplies includes: backing and wool for an 8” x 8” finished rug. 
Students are not required to purchase supplies but can bring their own. Call Diana for details on what to bring.  Hooks and frames will be available for use during the class and for sale at the end of class.

Diana is a 3rd generation rug maker, raised in Cumberland, MD and living in Baltimore, MD.  She is the president of the local chapter of ATHA (Association of Traditional Hooking Artists)  You can find her work for sale at Mountain City, Frostburg or in Baltimore at Sideshow in the American Visionary Art Museum.
